The Board of Directors of Cherat Packaging Limited (PSX: CPPL) has approved the acquisition of a second Extrusion Plant – a Barrier Film Extrusion Line, along with allied equipment at a cost of up to Rs. 1.40 billion.
According to a stock filing by the company today, this plant will be financed through a long-term loan. The installation is expected to be completed by April 2026.
The Barrier Film Extrusion Line will be sourced from Windmöller & Hölscher, the world’s leading equipment supplier to the packaging industry. This expansion will enhance the Flexible Packaging Division’s production capacity, enabling the Company to better meet customer demand and optimize resource utilization.
CPPL’s main business activities are manufacturing, marketing, and sale of paper sacks, polypropylene bags, and flexible packaging material.
