Crescent Star Insurance Limited (PSX: CSIL) has resumed its guarantee business following a ruling by the Islamabad High Court that nullified earlier directives from the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP).
In a stock filing submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange on Thursday, the company stated that the court, in its order dated July 29, 2025, declared the SECP’s instructions to halt the guarantee business as void.
The company has since restarted the suspended operations and announced it will also issue a formal press release on the development.
The Company is engaged in providing non-life general insurance services mainly in the spheres of Fire and property damage, Marine, aviation and transport, Motor, Credit & suretyship, Accident & health, and Miscellaneous.
