FBR Seizes Rs. 481 Million Worth of Goods in October 2025
The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has seized goods worth Rs. 481.949 million during the first 17 days of October. According to an official statement, the operations were carried out by the Collectorate of Customs (Enforcement), Multan. The seizures reflect continued efficiency and momentum in the department’s anti-smuggling drive. In one major operation, customs officials intercepted a Mazda truck near Ghala Mandi, Multan. The vehicle was found carrying foreign-origin goods including cigarettes and betel nuts, hidden under crushed animal bones. A follow-up raid at a warehouse in the industrial area led to the recovery of more contraband items valued at Rs. 14.890 million. In another case, officials at JCP Sakhi Sarwar stopped a Hino truck loaded with fresh apples. A detailed search uncovered 104 imported inverters hidden beneath the fruit baskets, valued at Rs. 13.200 million. During a separate routine check at JCP Trimman, officers recovered a smuggled Kawasaki Ninja heavy bike from a passenger bus traveling from D.I. Khan to Karachi. The bike was valued at Rs. 2.200 million. Officials said these actions demonstrate the vigilance and professionalism of Pakistan Customs. The Multan enforcement team remains committed to combating smuggling, curbing tax evasion, and safeguarding national revenue.
