FBR to Restructure PRAL into New Digital Tax Entity Without Service Disruption
The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) will restructure Pakistan Revenue Automation (Pvt.) Limited (PRAL) into a new, state-of-the-art organization as part of its digital transformation strategy. Faisal Nadeem, Company secretary, said the revamped entity will have greater financial autonomy, advanced technological capabilities, and enhanced functionality to deliver improved services for taxpayers and FBR operations. FBR confirmed that PRAL will continue its services without any interruption during the transition, with all existing systems, support, and functions remaining fully operational. The shift will be gradual and coordinated to ensure stability for employees, users, and customers. “We appreciate the dedication of PRAL’s team and reaffirm that their expertise will play a central role in shaping the next chapter of Pakistan’s digital tax infrastructure – one that is aligned with global best practices and designed to keep our tax systems remain secure, efficient, and future-ready,” officials added.
