The repatriation of profits and dividends from foreign investments in Pakistan surged by 107 percent during the first ten months of the current fiscal year (10MFY25).
According to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), foreign investors repatriated $1.830 billion from July to April of FY25, a substantial increase from $882 million during the same period in FY24.
During April 2025, the repatriation of profits and dividends in Pakistan increased by 115 percent YoY and fell by 23.1 percent MoM to $121.5 million.
The Power sector experienced the largest outflow of profits and dividends in 10MFY25, reaching $339.8 million, a 181 percent increase from the previous year, according to SBP data.
The Food sector followed with $291.1 million in repatriations, and the Financial Business sector came in third with $288.2 million in outflows during the period in review.
