Gold Rate Races Past Rs. 340,000 Per Tola Mark After Another Increase
Gold prices continued their upward trend on Saturday, setting a new record in Pakistan.
In the local market, the price of gold rose by Rs. 1,800 in a single day, reaching Rs. 340,600 per tola.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold climbed by Rs. 1,543, now standing at Rs. 292,009, according to data released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
This follows a significant jump on Friday, when gold prices surged by Rs. 10,000 in a single day to hit Rs. 338,800 per tola. While on Thursday, the price went up by Rs. 7,800 per tola.
Internationally, gold prices also saw an increase on Friday. According to APGJSA, the global rate reached $3,236 per ounce (including a $20 premium), marking a $18 rise over the day.
