Petroleum prices in Pakistan will likely decrease by Rs. 3.5-7 per litre amid recent fluctuations in international oil markets and a slight drop in import premiums.
Petrol prices may fall by as much as Rs. 3.5 per litre, while diesel rates could see a reduction of Rs. 7 per litre.
The existing price of petrol is Rs. 252.63 while the price of high-speed diesel currently stands at Rs. 256.64 per liter. If approved, the prices of petrol and diesel will be Rs. 249.13 and Rs. 249.64, respectively.
In the previous adjustment on 31 April, the prices of both petrol and high-speed diesel were cut by Rs. 2 per liter. Before this, the federal government kept the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel unchanged.
