Govt Reduces LPG Rates for June 2025
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has announced a reduction in liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) prices for June 2025. According to a notification issued by the regulator, the price of a domestic LPG cylinder has been reduced by Rs. 55 to Rs. 2,838, while the price of a commercial cylinder has been slashed by Rs. 210 to Rs. 10,920. The per kilogram price of LPG has decreased by Rs. 6.15, bringing it down from Rs. 245 to Rs. 241. OGRA stated that the government’s LPG producer price has been lowered by Rs. 3,921 per metric ton. LPG pricing in Pakistan is tied to the Saudi Aramco Contract Price (CP) and the US dollar exchange rate. For June, Saudi Aramco-CP saw a 2.67 percent decline, while the average dollar exchange rate increased slightly by 0.35 percent. These factors combined led to a Rs. 54.60 reduction in the consumer price of an 11.8 kg domestic cylinder, and a per kg decrease of Rs. 4.62.
