The collection of expenses for Hajj 2026 is expected to begin in the first week of August, sources told ProPakistani.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs will collect Hajj dues in two installments, with the first installment estimated at Rs. 500,000 to Rs. 550,000. Collection will be carried out on a first-come, first-served basis and will cease once Pakistan’s Hajj quota is filled.
Only applicants who have already registered for Hajj 2026 will be eligible to deposit the dues. Payments must be made through banks designated by the Ministry, sources added.
Currently, over 450,000 Pakistanis have registered for Hajj 2026, while the country’s allocated quota stands at 179,210 pilgrims across both government and private schemes. Pakistan is seeking an increase in this quota to 230,000, aligning with its growing population.
Once the number of payments received matches the allocated quota, further collection will be stopped.
