Late Session Selling Pushes PSX into Red as KSE-100 Loses 479 Points 
The 100-Index of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) witnessed bearish trend on Friday, losing 479 points, a negative change of 0.43 percent, closing at 112,085.29 points as compared to 112,564.08 points on the last trading day.   Brokerage House Topline Securities pointed out that the KSE-100 Index opened on a positive note and rose to an intraday high of 918 points, however jittery investors came in to sell during the closing hours of the trade as the index declined to close at 112,085 level.  On a weekly basis, the benchmark index increased by 1.6 percent, the brokerage house attributed the gain to decent corporate earnings announcement for December quarter.  A total of 457,049,928 shares were traded during the day as compared to 596,739,574 shares the previous trading day, whereas the price of shares stood at Rs. 30.965 billion against Rs. 23.21 billion on the last trading day.   As many as 432 companies transacted their shares in the stock market, 135 of them recorded gains and 237 sustained losses, whereas the share price of 60 companies remained unchanged.
