LTO Karachi Collects Record Rs. 3.5 Trillion Tax in FY25

The Large Taxpayers Office (LTO) Karachi has collected a record Rs. 3.5 trillion revenue during fiscal year 2024–25, up 29 percent over the previous year’s Rs. 2.515 trillion. In June 2025 alone, the LTO collected Rs. 449.05 billion, a 48 percent improvement compared to Rs. 302.83 billion in June 2024. On a single day, it also recorded an all-time high collection of Rs. 184.7 billion. The revenue breakdown shows income tax as the largest contributor at Rs. 1.818 trillion, followed by sales tax at Rs. 1.301 trillion and federal excise duty at Rs. 222.2 billion. The LTO also recovered Rs. 31 billion in outstanding taxes during the fiscal year.
