Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has launched a major housing initiative to provide free three-marla plots to low-income and homeless individuals across the province.
In the first phase, 1,892 plots will be distributed through 33 schemes in 22 districts, ensuring that deserving families have a place to call home.
Residents of Hazro, Attock, Jhelum, Gujrat, Mandi Bahauddin, Chiniot, Mamu Kanjan, Sillanwali, Jhang, Pattoki, Okara, Renala Khurd, Bhakkar, Khushab, Layyah, Vehari, Lodhran, Sahiwal, Chichawatni, Fort Munro, Rajanpur, Bahawalpur, and Bahawalnagar will benefit from the project.
Maryam Nawaz stressed that this is not an act of charity but the government’s duty to ensure that underprivileged citizens also have access to housing. “Every citizen of Punjab deserves a home—this is my dream,” she said.
She has directed officials to fast-track the process and ensure plots are allocated without unnecessary delays.
