A technical mission from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is currently visiting Pakistan to hold discussions with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), sources told ProPakistani.
The talks are focused on agricultural income tax and other tax-related matters, to improve the FBR’s operational capacity, the sources added.
Sources have clarified that the IMF mission’s visit is specifically aimed at enhancing the FBR’s efficiency and technical capabilities. However, they also confirmed that no discussions are taking place between Pakistani officials and the IMF regarding the budget for the fiscal year 2025-26.
