The Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) has launched the MARKAZ Industry Facilitation Center, a one-window support platform designed to assist IT companies, BPOs, call centres, and freelancers.
The initiative aims to streamline business operations and strengthen Pakistan’s digital economy by offering round-the-clock support to the tech sector.
MARKAZ has been set up to simplify processes such as business registration, obtaining regulatory clearances, and meeting compliance requirements. It provides guidance on documentation and procedures related to organisations, including the SECP, PTA, EOBI, Social Security, and provincial labour departments. The facility will also help companies dealing with operational or policy-related challenges.
According to officials, MARKAZ will directly coordinate with government departments to resolve issues that often slow down growth in the IT and IT-enabled services industry. This coordination is expected to reduce delays and ensure smoother workflows for both startups and established firms.
With its 24/7 support model, the center will offer assistance for export revenue procedures, regulatory matters, and industry-specific challenges. The initiative aims to support a business-friendly ecosystem by helping companies overcome barriers that affect expansion and competitiveness.
The Ministry of IT & Telecom and the Pakistan Software Export Board describe MARKAZ as an important support framework that will simplify and speed up the growth of Pakistan’s tech sector. The facility is being positioned as a major step toward empowering businesses and improving the country’s digital infrastructure.
