PTCL Revenue Grows by 12% in Q2 2024

Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited has announced its financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2024, whereby it posted a revenue of Rs. 26.7 billion, up 12 percent year-on-year compared to a revenue of Rs. 23.9 billion in the same period last year. The company didn’t announce any dividend payouts to its shareholders for the period in review. The company’s profits were down to Rs. 705 million, down by 55 percent as compared to Rs. 1.50 billion recorded in the same period last year. The cost of services increased by 10 percent YoY to Rs. 19.98 billion compared to Rs. 18.1 billion. The gross profit increased by 17 percent YoY in April-June to Rs. 6.78 billion. Meanwhile, the operating profit improved by 20 percent YoY from Rs. 2.2 billion to Rs. 2.7 billion. The other income increased by 28 percent YoY to Rs. 4 billion. Please note that these are company results and group results will be shared later after one of the subsidiaries finalizes its results. The company posted earnings per share (EPS) of Rs. 0.14 for the quarter compared to an EPS of Rs. 0.13 in the same period last year. Its scrip at the bourse closed at Rs. 12.93, down 5.62 percent or Rs. 0.77 with 9.5 million shares on Friday.
