Punjab Announces Good News Regarding Payment of Salaries and Pensions

The Government of Punjab has announced that salaries and pensions for government employees and pensioners will be released earlier than usual, on Friday, October 31, 2025. According to a notification issued by the Punjab Finance Department, the decision was made as November 1 and 2 fall on Saturday and Sunday, which are gazetted holidays. To ensure timely payments, the provincial government approved the early disbursement of pay, allowances, and pensions. The notification, signed by Mr. Muhammad Younas, Section Officer (FR), directed the Accountant General Punjab and all District Accounts Officers to take necessary steps to complete the process by October 31. The circular has also been forwarded to all administrative secretaries, commissioners, deputy commissioners, and heads of attached departments across Punjab. Additionally, copies were sent to the Registrar of Lahore High Court, District and Sessions Judges, and senior officials in the Governor’s and Chief Minister’s offices.
