Remittances Sent by Overseas Pakistanis Clock In at $3.2 Billion in November 2025
Pakistan received $3.2 billion in overseas workers’ remittances in November 2025, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) said on Tuesday. The inflow shows a 9 percent increase year on year compared to $2.9 billion in November 2024, although it fell 7 percent from October’s $3.4 billion. Cumulatively, remittances during the first five months of FY26 reached $16.145 billion, up from $14.766 billion in the same period last year. A breakdown of the November figures shows Saudi Arabia remained the top source, with inflows of around $753 million, up from $729 million in November 2024 but lower than $838 million recorded in October. Transfers from the United Arab Emirates reached about $675 million, showing a year-on-year rise but easing from $703 million in October. Remittances from the United Kingdom increased to $481 million, a 17 percent jump compared to last year. Inflows from the United States came in at $277 million, slightly below both last year’s $288 million and October’s $301 million. Meanwhile, European Union countries sent about $417 million, marking a strong 29 percent increase year on year. Remittances from other GCC countries totaled $299 million, while other global sources contributed $287 million, maintaining a stable share of Pakistan’s foreign exchange inflows.
