Rumors Regarding the Auction of Imran Khan’s Bani Gala Property Are False

Multiple rumors are circulating on social media regarding the planned auction of former prime minister Imran Khan’s Bani Gala house; in fact, a number of digital platforms have also reported the news. However, according to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s Salman Akram Raja, according to information obtained by the party’s legal team, in NAB Reference No. 19/2023 titled State vs. Imran Khan, commonly known as the Al-Qadir Trust case. the other accused have already been declared absconders and proclaimed offenders. Separately, senior journalist Zahid Gishkori also confirmed that news regarding auction of Imran Khan’s Bani Gala house is incorrect. The journalist said that auction of property only happens if the accused fail to surrender themselves in front of the law. Bottom line: All such rumors saying that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is auctioning the former prime minister’s Bani Gala residence are factually incorrect.
