SBP Announces Bank Holiday on January 1

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has declared January 1, 2025 (Wednesday) a bank holiday.  “The State Bank of Pakistan will remain closed for public dealing on Wednesday, January 01, 2025, which will be observed as ‘Bank Holiday’,” the central bank said in a statement issued today.  All banks / DFIs / MFBs shall, therefore, remain closed for public dealing on the aforementioned date. However, all employees of the banks / DFIs / MFBs will attend the office as usual, it added.
