The Sindh government has allocated Rs. 200 million in the 2025-26 budget to hire Subject Specialist Interns for higher secondary schools.
This move comes amid growing concerns over vacant teaching positions in key subjects. The new budgetary allocation will enable the School Education & Literacy Department to recruit qualified graduates and postgraduates as interns, providing much-needed support in classrooms while also offering young educators valuable professional experience.
The recruitment process will be conducted through the Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC), which has already advertised hundreds of subject specialist positions for 2025. Candidates with a master’s degree in the relevant subject and a B.Ed. or M.Ed. qualification are eligible to apply. The selection process will include a written test and interview to ensure merit-based hiring.
Applications for subject specialist positions and internships can be submitted online via the SPSC portal, with the deadline for the current cycle set for December 10, 2025. Interested candidates are encouraged to review the eligibility criteria and prepare for the competitive selection process.
