A delegation from the National Logistics Corporation (NLC) and UAE-based DP World has announced plans to establish a dedicated commercial hub near Jebel Ali, UAE, called ‘Pakistan Mart’ to showcase Made-in-Pakistan products.
The project was discussed in a meeting with Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Khan on Wednesday.
DP World will build the facility at no construction cost for Pakistani stakeholders.
Pakistan Mart will feature warehouses, retail shops, showrooms, and e-commerce fulfilment centers for exporters. It aims to provide a one-stop platform to access buyers from the Middle East, Africa, and other international markets.
Textiles, surgical instruments, sports goods, food items, perishables, and nutraceuticals have been identified as key sectors. The Ministry of Commerce and TDAP will support the project and ensure coordination.
The delegation requested assistance in selecting tenants, launching awareness campaigns, and facilitating exporters.
