Zarea Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Telenor Pakistan (Pvt.) Limited to collaborate on multiple initiatives aimed at digitizing Pakistan’s agricultural sector, according to a company filing with the Pakistan Stock Exchange.
The partnership covers a wide range of areas, including agricultural commodity trading, crop residue management, environmental sustainability, climate change, dissemination of mandi (market) rates, farmer engagement, and digital advisory services.
Zarea said the collaboration marks a significant step toward its vision of building a digital ecosystem for Pakistan’s agricultural commodities supply chain. The company aims to leverage Telenor’s digital platforms to promote sustainable farming practices, enhance market transparency, and improve income opportunities for farmers across the country.
Under the MoU, both parties will work together to strengthen digital agriculture initiatives at the national level through expert advisories, research dissemination, and co-branded engagement activities.
