The Banking Mohtasib Pakistan has provided monetary relief of Rs. 1.46 billion to banking customers by resolving over 28,700 complaints during the first ten months of the current calendar year, from January 1 to October 31, 2025.
With a view to protecting the public from the rising incidents of fraud, the Banking Mohtasib, Sirajuddin Aziz, emphasized that customers should not disclose their personal or financial credentials to any third party.
He also advised against clicking on links received on mobile phones unless they come from reliable and authentic sources.
Furthermore, he urged that upon receiving suspicious calls, customers should immediately approach the nearest branch of their bank or contact the bank’s helpline. He also recommended reporting such incidents, along with the phone numbers involved, to the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA).
