The Capital Development Authority has removed another 20 officers from their posts, extending an ongoing administrative shake-up that has unsettled departments across the organization.
The latest notification issued by the Human Resource Directorate lists one officer in grade 19, five in grade 18, one in grade 17, and 13 other officials who have now been relieved of their responsibilities.
According to the order, seven officers have been directed to report to HR, while 13 have been placed under suspension.
The move comes only two days after 85 officers were declared Officers on Special Duty, marking one of the largest internal reassignments in the CDA in recent years. Officials describe the actions as part of a broader disciplinary restructuring exercise.
However, several officers affected by the reshuffle have expressed frustration and are reportedly considering a legal challenge, arguing that no formal corruption cases or inquiry reports have been shared with them.
They claim the decisions have damaged their professional reputations and allege that personal preferences may have influenced postings and removals.
“If there is any evidence, it should be made public,” some officers have stated, according to sources familiar with discussions.
On the other side, CDA officials maintain that the removals are based on findings received from government institutions, including an Interior Ministry review into alleged financial misconduct and violations of service rules across multiple wings of the authority.
They say the restructuring aims to restore administrative discipline and strengthen governance standards.
The continued wave of transfers and suspensions has created unease among CDA staff, with employees awaiting clarity on whether further rounds of action are expected as internal scrutiny continues.
