The Government of Pakistan has announced a significant reduction in the price of high-speed diesel (HSD), cutting it by Rs. 14 per liter for the next fortnight, effective December 16, 2025.
The new price for HSD will be Rs. 265.65 per liter, down from the previous rate of Rs. 279.65 per liter. The price of motor spirit (MS), commonly known as petrol, remains unchanged at Rs. 263.45 per liter.
According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division), the decision was made based on recommendations from the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA).
The revised prices will be in effect from December 16, 2025, providing relief to consumers amid fluctuating global oil prices.
