FIA Registers Case Against 58 CDA Employees Over Fake Degrees
The Federal Investigation Agency has booked 58 employees of the Capital Development Authority for securing government jobs through falsified documents. These include fake degrees, forged certificates and fabricated experience documents and mark one of the largest actions of its kind against CDA staff. The case was registered by the FIA Anti-Corruption Circle in Islamabad on December 4, 2025, after investigators confirmed that multiple employees had gained appointments illegally by submitting bogus school certificates, degrees, experience letters and even fake driving licenses. According to the FIA report, the accused individuals were hired in violation of merit and quota rules, causing financial losses to the CDA as they drew salaries and benefits based on fraudulent credentials. The list of employees named in the case includes thirteen security guards, eleven drivers and seven tube well operators.  Investigators also identified naib qasids, clerks, and technicians who allegedly used forged documents to enter government service. f Officials said fifty-six employees have been formally nominated in the FIR, and further action is being initiated against the remaining suspects involved in the recruitment scheme. The agency noted that many benefited financially for years through deceit. The FIA has now launched a wider inquiry to trace the network behind the fake documents and determine whether internal facilitation within the CDA enabled the illegal hiring.  Further arrests and departmental proceedings are expected as the investigation expands.
