Foreign Investors Took Out $1.13 Billion From Pakistan in First 4 Months of FY26
The repatriation of profits and dividends from foreign investments in Pakistan increased by 39 percent to $1,137.3 million during the first four months of fiscal year 2025-26, according to latest data by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP). On a month-on-month basis, the repatriation of profits and dividends in Pakistan increased by 142.6 percent. Meanwhile, in 4MFY26, this figure saw a rise of 39 percent YoY to reach $1,137 million compared to $8.8.4 3MFY25. The Power sector experienced the largest outflow of profits and dividends in 4MFY26, reaching $341.7 million, a big increase from the previous year, according to SBP data. The Financial Business sector followed with $226.7 million in repatriations, and the Food sector came in third with $76.2 million in outflows during the period in review.
