Govt Collects Rs. 66 Billion Through Petroleum Levy to Fund Balochistan Road Projects
Federal Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik confirmed that a levy on petroleum products has been imposed to fund road construction in Balochistan. The minister stated that the additional levy, ranging between Rs. 7 and Rs. 8 per litre, has so far generated Rs. 66 billion, which has been handed over to the Planning Commission. He further stated that the figure of Rs. 66 billion represents collections up to September, and updated data for the subsequent months will be provided in due course.
