The federal government has increased the price of re-gasified liquefied natural gas for November, with OGRA raising RLNG rates by up to 1.97 percent for consumers of both Sui gas companies.
In a notification issued on Tuesday, the regulator said the adjustment was mainly driven by changes in unaccounted-for gas percentages.
It noted that while SNGPL’s transmission price saw a slight decline due to lower UFG, both companies recorded higher distribution charges for the month.
For SNGPL consumers, the transmission tariff has dropped marginally by 0.07 percent to 11.4305 dollars per MMBtu from 11.4381 dollars last month.
However, the distribution price has climbed 1.39 percent to 12.3996 dollars per MMBtu compared to 12.2300 dollars in October.
Meanwhile, SSGC consumers will face a 1.97 percent increase in distribution charges to 11.4520 dollars per MMBtu, while transmission has inched up to 10.0652 dollars per MMBtu from 10.0585 dollars.
OGRA said the revised rates include terminal fees, port handling costs, transmission losses, and margins for PSO, the state importer.
The regulator added that the weighted average sale price is based on six LNG cargoes imported under PSO’s long-term supply agreements with Qatar. Of these, four shipments were priced at a 13.37 percent Brent slope and two at a 10.20 percent slope.
