Pakistan Customs Seizes Rs. 450 Million Worth of Crystal Meth

Pakistan Customs has carried out a major narcotics interception near the Panjgur Washuk border, seizing 30 kilograms of crystal meth (Ice) with an estimated value of Rs. 450 million during an intelligence based operation. According to officials, the enforcement team acted on credible information regarding the movement of narcotics from Basima. A vehicle suspected of transporting the contraband was stopped near the border area, where officers recovered 30 plastic bags filled with the illegal substance. Both the vehicle and the narcotics have been taken into custody as investigations move forward. Customs Enforcement Panjgur said the operation demonstrates the effectiveness of coordinated surveillance in the region, where drug trafficking networks often use remote routes to bypass law enforcement checks. The Federal Board of Revenue said the bust reinforces its commitment to combating narcotics smuggling and stressed that efforts will continue to dismantle trafficking networks operating along border areas. The latest seizure comes amid a wider push by the Federal Board of Revenue and customs agencies to combat narcotics smuggling, especially along Pakistan’s porous borders with Iran and Afghanistan.
