Pakistan received $3.4 billion in overseas workers’ remittances in October 2025, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) said on Monday.
The inflows show an 11.9% year-on-year increase compared to the $3.1 billion recorded in October 2024, and a rise from September’s $3.2 billion.
Cumulatively, remittances during the first four months of FY26 (July–October) reached $13.0 billion, up from $11.9 billion in the same period last year.
A breakdown of the October data shows that Saudi Arabia remained the largest source of remittances, with overseas Pakistanis sending around $821 million, up roughly 9 percent from about $751 million in September.
Inflows from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) rose to around $698 million, marking an increase of about percent month-on-month, supported by seasonal workforce transfers and business activity.
Remittances from the United Kingdom reached about $488 million in October, an increase of around 7 percent compared to September.
Inflows from the United States came in at approximately $290 million, reflecting a nearly 8% rise from the previous month.
Meanwhile, remittances from European Union countries totaled roughly $457 million during the month, showing an increase of about 8% and maintaining a steady contribution to Pakistan’s foreign exchange inflows.
Remittances continue to play a crucial role in supporting Pakistan’s external account, easing pressure on foreign exchange reserves, and supplementing household incomes amid inflationary pressures.
