Accelerate Prosperity has announced an investment in BusCaro, a tech-based ride-sharing platform operating in Pakistan’s major cities, to help expand and improve urban transport solutions.
The investment size has not been disclosed by the company.
BusCaro currently operates in Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad, managing a fleet of over 900 vehicles and processing more than 35,000 daily bookings. The platform provides transport services primarily for offices, factories, schools, and other institutional clients, focusing on both B2B and B2B2C markets.
The company aims to reduce transportation costs and improve service efficiency through data-driven operations, while also addressing environmental and safety concerns. It emphasizes safer commuting, including improved transport options for women and children.
The funding from Accelerate Prosperity will be used to strengthen BusCaro’s technology infrastructure, expand operations to additional cities, and improve access for underserved populations. The investment also targets environmental and social outcomes, including job creation and reduced carbon emissions.
Accelerate Prosperity is a growth capital platform that supports early-stage ventures across Central and South Asia. This investment in BusCaro is part of its broader focus on supporting scalable, impact-driven businesses.
