Asan Khidmat Center Nears Completion, Set to Open in Islamabad by January
Work on the Asan Khidmat Center in Islamabad has reached 95 percent completion, marking a major step towards the launch of a centralized public service facility in the federal capital. The progress was reviewed during a site visit by the Chairman Capital Development Authority, who inspected construction, renovation, and beautification works along with the Member Engineering and other senior officers. Officials briefed the chairman that the remaining work is being completed at a fast pace. According to the briefing, finishing work has formally begun, while cleaning of under-construction floors is also underway. Furniture installation and other essential arrangements are being completed on a priority basis, with construction activities continuing around the clock to meet the completion timeline. The federal government plans to inaugurate the Asan Khidmat Center in January 2026. Once operational, the center will be opened to the general public and will serve as a one-stop platform for government services in Islamabad. Chairman CDA said the facility will provide access to more than 100 services of multiple departments under one roof. He added that the existing One Window Facilitation Center services of CDA will also be integrated into the Asan Khidmat Center to improve efficiency and public convenience. Officials stated that modern technology is being incorporated to enhance service delivery and reduce processing time. The center aims to streamline citizen interaction with government departments and improve overall transparency. The Asan Khidmat Center will offer services from Islamabad Police, NADRA, CDA, DRAP, FBISE, National Highways and Motorway Police, Excise and Taxation, SNGPL, Immigration and Passport Department, FBR, IESCO, and the Deputy Commissioner’s Office. Services of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including document attestation, are also being added. The Chairman of CDA directed that no compromise on quality standards would be allowed at any stage of the project and stressed the importance of timely completion.
