Banks to Remain Closed at the Start of Ramazan
The State Bank of Pakistan will remain closed for public dealing on 1st working day of Ramadan-ul-Mubarak, 1446 A.H., which shall be observed as a “Bank Holiday” for deduction of Zakat. All banks/DFIs/MFBs shall, therefore, remain closed for public dealing on 1st working day of Ramadan-ul-Mubarak, 1446 A.H. A notification in this regard will be shared by the central bank in a day or two. However, all employees of the banks/DFIs/MFBs will attend to their official assignments on Bank Holiday treating it as a normal working day (except for public dealing).
