Beco Steel Limited has unveiled plans for a major expansion, announcing the installation of a state-of-the-art steel furnace and continuous casting mill to produce deformed steel bars, according to a material disclosure sent to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Tuesday.
The new facility will have an annual production capacity of 72,000 tons of rebars, positioning Beco Steel to meet rising demand in both local and export markets.
The company, which operates in both ferrous and non-ferrous segments, reported continued sales growth and highlighted its debt-free status, operating without any borrowings from financial institutions.
As part of its expansion, Beco Steel will also set up a 5 MW solar power plant to enhance cost-efficiency and sustainability. The entire project will be self-financed, with no external borrowing required.
The company’s CEO has already acquired the necessary land, and project execution is scheduled to begin in early 2026.
