Car sales in Pakistan rose by 32.1 percent to 94,388 units during the first 11 months of FY2024-25 compared to the same period last year amid falling interest rates and expected rate hikes in the new federal budget.
According to data from the Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA), total vehicle sales across most segments posted strong growth, except tractors.
Sales of jeeps and pickups increased by 66 percent to 31,706 units. Truck sales rose 95.7 percent to 3,776 units, while bus sales climbed 73.3 percent to 719 units. Motorcycle and rickshaw sales also rose 30 percent, reaching 1.38 million units.
Tractor sales declined by 36.8 percent to 26,401 units.
