CDA Recovers Rs. 200 Billion Worth of State Land in Major Operation

Islamabad’s Capital Development Authority has recovered state land worth nearly Rs. 200 billion during a major anti-encroachment operation carried out in coordination with the Islamabad District Administration. The action targeted long-standing illegal constructions that had expanded across Muslim Colony, according to details shared by CDA. Officials said that enforcement teams successfully reclaimed 712 kanals of government land that had been unlawfully occupied by private individuals. Several illegal houses and structures were demolished during the operation, which CDA stated was necessary to clear land reserved for public use and future development. Before conducting the operation, CDA said it had issued multiple notices urging residents to vacate the occupied land. Loudspeaker announcements were also made in the days leading up to the action, advising people to remove encroachments voluntarily. However, illegal construction activity continued, prompting authorities to move forward. The operation was supervised by the COMCI, who ensured coordinated action and full compliance with legal procedures. CDA emphasized that it provided adequate time and communication before demolition began, adding that enforcement teams acted strictly within the law. Officials urged residents to cooperate with city authorities and warned that illegal construction would not be tolerated. CDA said similar operations will continue across Islamabad to protect state land and ensure orderly urban development.
