The retail price of cement has been decreased up to Rs. 20 per bag in Pakistan. According to JS Global, cement players have decreased prices by up to Rs. 20/bag on account of weaker demand in winter.
Cement players in the North region lowered cement prices today by Rs. 20/bag taking MRPs in the North to around Rs. 1,350/bag, this is in addition to the softening of cement prices witnessed during the past 2-3 weeks in response to weaker demand in winter.
The industry expects the demand and thus prices to pick up as the weather normalizes.
