CSD and U Microfinance Bank has entered in to a partnership where UBank will help CSD to digitally collect funds from its 200,000 hire/purchase customer.
Through this service CSD customers can make their repayments via all U Bank branches as well as through U Microfinance Bank wallet – Upaisa.
On this occasion Mr. Kabeer Naqvi – President & CEO of U Microfinance Bank and Major General (Rtd) Muhammad Tahir – MD of CSD exchanged their views on the impact of this service.
Mr. Naqvi said that our aim is to take banking services to the last mile and ensure that all segment of society get an opportunity to become part of the banked net. Maj. Gen Tahir stated that CSD wishes to continue to improve its quality of products and services to its diverse customers and is keen on exploring new partnerships with organizations like U Microfinance Bank.
U Microfinance Bank Ltd. (U Bank) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) – Etisalat. The bank has a network of 130 branches in urban and rural areas of Pakistan, offering a wide range of microfinance loans, deposit products and branchless banking solutions. The service is offered at nearly 45,000 agent locations across Pakistan.
