The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has extended the deadline for manual income tax return filing until November 30, 2025, as part of its transition to a fully digital tax system.
“For smooth transition to the online filing system, FBR has discontinued manual return filings from Tax Year 2024,” the tax regulator said in a tweet on X.
To support this shift, FBR has discontinued manual return submissions from Tax Year 2024 and established dedicated help cells in each tax office to assist individuals who previously filed paper returns.
FBR said, “Manual filers are encouraged to visit their respective tax offices, where they will receive free assistance for registration & online return filing”.
These cells will provide both technical and legal support, including free registration and online filing assistance.
Taxpayers who require legal guidance will also receive free services from field offices during the current tax year.
