Gold prices in Pakistan surged on Wednesday, following gains in the international market.
In the local market, the price of gold per tola rose to Rs. 431,562, up Rs. 7,900 from the previous day.
Similarly, 10-gram gold was sold at Rs. 369,994, registering an increase of Rs. 6,773, according to rates shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
On Tuesday, gold prices per tola had declined to Rs. 423,662 after falling by Rs. 7,000 during the day.
Internationally, gold also saw an upward trend, rising by $79 to $4,092 per ounce, with a premium of $20, as reported by APGJSA.
Silver prices in the local market also increased, gaining Rs. 177 per tola to reach Rs. 5,422.
