Gold prices surged to unprecedented levels in both domestic and international markets on Monday, continuing their record-breaking trend.
The price of gold in Pakistan jumped by Rs. 8,100 per tola, reaching an all-time high of Rs. 357,800, according to data released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA). The price of 10 grams of gold also saw a significant increase, rising by Rs. 6,944 to settle at Rs. 306,755.
The APGJSA reported the global rate at $3,395 per ounce, including a $20 premium, marking a $69 gain in a single day.
Market analysts attribute the surge to growing investor interest amid global economic uncertainties, driving demand for the precious metal.
