Gold prices in Pakistan declined for the second consecutive day on Friday, mirroring losses in the international market.
In the local market, the price of gold per tola dropped by Rs. 1,000 during the day, settling at Rs. 395,800.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 10-gram gold fell by Rs. 858 to Rs. 339,334.
On Thursday, gold prices had already seen a significant drop, with the per tola rate falling by Rs. 2,000 to reach Rs. 396,800.
Internationally, gold also lost ground, with the rate standing at $3,740 per ounce (including a $20 premium), down by $10, as reported by APGJSA.
In contrast, silver prices moved higher in the local market. The price per tola of silver increased by Rs. 64, reaching Rs. 4,499.
