Gold prices in Pakistan surged to an all-time high on Monday, continuing their upward trajectory amid rising international rates.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold per tola climbed by Rs/ 3,300 in a single day, reaching an unprecedented Rs. 370,700.
Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold rose by Rs. 2,829, settling at Rs. 317,815. This marks a significant increase from Saturday, when gold per tola was priced at Rs. 367,400 after a Rs. 3,600 jump.
The surge in local gold prices mirrors the international market, where gold prices also saw a notable rise. The global rate of gold reached $3,480 per ounce, including a $20 premium, reflecting a $33 increase during the day.
Silver prices also followed the upward trend, with the price per tola gaining Rs. 101 to reach Rs. 4,303.
