Gold prices in Pakistan held steady on Friday, with the per tola rate unchanged at Rs. 426,562.
The price for 10 grams also remained at Rs. 365,708, according to figures from the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
A day earlier, gold had settled at Rs. 426,562 per tola after a Rs. 5,000 drop.
Internationally, gold prices were flat at $4,042 per ounce, including a $20 premium. In contrast, silver prices in the local market slipped by Rs. 107 to Rs. 5,222 per tola.
On the global stage, gold edged lower as a stronger-than-expected US jobs report dampened hopes for a Federal Reserve rate cut in December. Spot gold was quoted at $4,072.87 per ounce, down 0.1% as of 0242 GMT, while US gold futures for December delivery rose 0.3% to $4,071.90 per ounce.
