Gold prices in Pakistan surged massively on Thursday, driven by gains in the international market.
In the local market, the price of gold per tola jumped by Rs. 8,300 to reach Rs. 443,062.
Similarly, the price for 10 grams of gold rose by Rs. 7,116, settling at Rs. 379,854, according to rates shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
On Wednesday, gold had seen a decline, with the price per tola dropping by Rs. 1,000 to Rs. 434,762.
Internationally, the gold rate also moved higher. APGJSA reported the rate at $4,207 per ounce (including a $20 premium), marking an $83 increase during the day.
Meanwhile, silver prices in the local market climbed by Rs. 228 per tola, reaching Rs. 5,662.
