Gold prices in Pakistan climbed on Monday, in line with the gains in the international market, while silver surged to a record high.
In the local market, the price of gold per tola rose by Rs. 2,600 during the day, reaching Rs. 454,862. The price of 10-gram gold also increased, up by Rs. 2,229 to Rs. 389,970, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
On Saturday, gold per tola had settled at Rs. 452,262 after a decline of Rs. 2,000.
Internationally, gold prices were up by $26, reaching $4,325 per ounce, including a $20 premium.
Meanwhile, silver prices in the local market jumped by Rs. 68 to hit Rs. 6,532 per tola, marking a new all-time high.
