The price of 24 karat gold witnessed an increase of Rs. 2,900 per tola on Wednesday and was sold at Rs. 362,200 against its sale at Rs. 359,300 on the previous trading day, All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) reported.
Today’s increase means that gold is just shy of the all-time high price of Rs. 364,900 per tola recorded towards the end of last month.
The prices of 10 grams of 24 karat also increased by Rs. 2,487 to Rs. 310,528 from Rs. 308,041.
The price of gold in the international market also saw an increase today. The rate was at $3,395 per ounce (with a premium of $20), a gain of $29, as per APGJSA.
Meanwhile, silver price per tola increased by Rs. 49 to hit Rs. 4,059.
