Govt Announces New Date For Key NFC Award Meeting

The federal government has scheduled the 11th National Finance Commission meeting for December 4, 2025, to negotiate a new formula for distributing national resources among the provinces. The commission meeting will be chaired by Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb. The meeting will bring together the finance ministers of all four provinces and other NFC members. The commission will review a three-point agenda, starting with detailed presentations from the federation and provinces on their current fiscal positions. The session is also expected to finalise the schedule for subsequent meetings that will lead to the next NFC Award. The award is a critical instrument that defines how federal revenues are shared across the country.
