The federal government has estimated a Rs. 17.5 trillion expenditure next fiscal year.
According to budget documents seen by ProPakistani, the government has estimated a total expenditure of Rs. 17,573 billion in FY26 with interest payments amounting to Rs. 8.2 trillion and net lending of Rs. 287 billion.
The authorities expect the running of civil government to cost Rs. 971 billion, Defence Affairs and Services Rs. 2.55 trillion, Rs. 1.055 trillion in pension costs, and Rs. 1.18 trillion in subsidies.
Meanwhile, development is estimated at Rs. 1 trillion for the next fiscal year.
